Set on the beautiful Kaministiquia River, the Fort has it all – the Fort has it all – the perfect setting, elegant atmosphere and quality catering. There are four distinct banquet rooms from which to choose. All four are air-conditioned and fully licensed for your comfort:
McGillivray's Landing:
Located in the Visitor Centre, the picturesque McGillivray's Landing banquet room features large windows overlooking the Kaministiquia River. A combined theme of nature and history is highlighted by the natural materials used throughout this room - from the cedar shingles and wooden slats to the huge tamarack columns welcoming guests. The room is surrounded by an outdoor patio and deck where guests can enjoy the surrounding marsh, pond and banks of the Kaministiquia River.
The Canot du Nord:
The Canot du Nord is a heritage building, located on the historic site. Tin lanters provide accent lighting for the working fireplace and authentic wooden floors.
The Great Hall:
The Great Hall is the focal point of the historic site. Complete with two wood burning fireplaces, heritage chandeliers and historic photographs, this room is a wonderful combination of elegance and comfort.
The Cantine:
Located in the Main Square of the historic site, the Cantine offers an intimate, rustic atmosphere. Complete with historic tables and chairs, it is just right for informal gatherings.
